6-way 4-in-1\'s

Somebody recently told me that there's now a company making a 4-in-bucket that also pivots like a 6-way blade for track-loaders. Has anyone seen such an animal? Does anyone know who makes it?

Re: 6-way 4-in-1\'s

I've never seen that in a "small" version for "us".

I wanted a "small" tractor with an extendahoe. Nope

Thought I'd be happy with just an hydraulic thumb. Nope, Christmas is coming. I wanta Santa to convert my backhoe to what I saw recently on a big machine.

It had not only a thumb, but a WRIST! Backhoe bucket could pivot about 120 degrees, great for placing rockeries.

Or how about one of those pivoting dipper sticks like the Kubota excavators have, or...

OK family, just have someone decorate one of our 100 foot fir trees, and get one of those 20 foot shipping containers, drive a new Kubota KX161 with all the goodies on it into the container, gift wrap it and I'll be happy...I PROMISE!

Del...

How small do you want that extendahoe? I know Kubota did offer one in the L-3 series... I think the L5412 (digging depth 123.0", and a hefty digging force of 6630lbs) ... no info on price (might have it somewhere but I am not sure) or availibility. Might be something to look into, though.

Rich - I don't know if these things are made for smaller tractors or not, but it was the larger track-loaders I had in mind when I asked if anyone knew who makes them or had seen them.

Re: 6-way 4-in-1\'s

Ive never heard or seen one before. I don't understant how you could get the tilt to work?? like on a 6 way on a dozer the blade is mounted in the center not on the outter edges like a loader. It sure would be slick if it could work. Oh got the L4610 HST to night! What fun/w3tcompact/icons/smile.gif Didn't get home from work till late so only got about a hr. on it. Didn't hit anything but had a close call or 2. Sure feels wierd usen the pedal, but after diging with it a while it was getting much better. so fast!!!! More like a skid stear just can't turn in its own length, yet! Maybe tomarow!!

Re: 6-way 4-in-1\'s

Congrats - You may want to re-start this thread on the 4610 in the Kubota Owning thread as it will get more interest than the Construction Thread. See Mark's tongue hanging out. /w3tcompact/icons/wink.gif

Re: 6-way 4-in-1\'s

Wen- I will when I get it all togther, wating for tires and 4in1 bucket to come in. I was just in the archives reading about the trouble Mark had with his 4in1, with the valve set up and I have he same thing [they installed the ele. valve but no bucket yet just the stock one] I think, won't know for sure untill I get the bucket on, but when you go to dump it I get the chatters some what. Im glad I sent the GST back and waited for the HST.

Rich - Congratulations! I'm happy to hear you're enjoying the HST transmission, too. Let us know how it works when you get the 4-in-1.

Re: 6-way 4-in-1\'s

Del, you can can get an extending backhoe or telescopic hoe for a tractor that is frame or 3pt mounted. the rep tells me that a hydraulic thumb is in the works for the extendable unit but one is available now for the std hoe. Also available is a quick attach system for different buckets. A grapple can also be used. Hardy makes these units, a canadian manufacturer, I'm looking for the web address.

Re: 6-way 4-in-1\'s

The Hardy Equipment Company is located in Canada - 100 Rue St-Arthur Portneuf-station, QC G0A 2Z0

Their phone # is - (418) 286-6621 My call was returned the next day, by someone who spoke English very well.

They do not have a web site, nor do they sell direct (only through dealers). I have a Hardy FEL, model ST85 installed on my Belarus 525 tractor. I just purchased their "material forks", which bolt on to the bucket, similar to the digging forks I have seen discussed in other forums. The dealer arranged to have them shipped directly, so I didn't have to travel the 75 miles to the dealer's location.

Re: 6-way 4-in-1\'s

RonNY, As you have noted and i also found out that a web site does not exist which is to bad. They seem to make a quality product.

I know this is an old post but Helac has what you were looking for. Go to WWW.HELAC.COM. There are some real spiffy attachments on this site, it's worth a look!

Re: 6-way 4-in-1\'s

Dozernut - Helac makes some really cool tilting 4-in-1 attachments for the backhoe, but I was looking for one for the FEL.

Re: 6-way 4-in-1\'s

Mark, I've only seen them in the 96" width, (or larger)at least I believe that is the width I've seen as it is pretty common. I see them on hoes sometimes but more commonly on loaders doing road work. Some even have an open end that allows dumping out the side of the bucket, the advantages on road work would be obvious. I remember the first time a guy used my tractor, he wanted to know how to tilt the front bucket. I thought he meant to dump the bucket, he wanted to conform to the land in front of him. There are times it would work really well. The bucket would get heavy as a result of all the extra steel, but the EF5 probably would fit this bucket really well. Good luck, I'll keep my eyes open, Rat..

Re: 6-way 4-in-1\'s

There is an attachment that hooks to a skid steer coupler and has a skid steer coupler on the front so you can hook onto a bucket. The attachment give you the ability to tilt the bucket(or whatever implement you put on) from corner to corner, the only disadvantage of this that I see is that it would put the load 6 to 12" beyond where it would normally be,but it wouldn't be a big deal if it were primarilly used for grading.I'm not sure who makes it but I saw a pic of it the other day and I thought it would be a good attachment to put on the goodie list.
