It is nearing 6 months since my dealer installed the "fix" to my 62D mower, which was the rounded caster wheels and grease fittings. Now that I've been mowing for a couple months, I can report that it is a night and day difference. With the new setup and regular greasing, I am having no problems. This is the way is should have been out of the box!
On a different note, but still related to the wheels on the deck.... When I try to mow close to things as I turn, the axle bolt on the back deck wheels can easily strip the bark off a tree or get caught on fixed structures. Have any of you good thinkers come up with a way to move the back wheels inward or at least reduce the way the axle bolt sticks out? I have considered putting a smooth cover over the bolt, moving the wheels inward, or letting them caster. I'd love to hear your ideas!
Thanks!
