1*Is your yard as level and smooth as the concrete pad?papaw said:I am running the deck EXACTLY the way Deere specifies as indicated on the wheel setting decal on the deck.
1* I set it up on a large level concrete pad. The wheels clear the pad as Deere specifies.
When you run it over a yard, however, it makes the yard look like a war zone.
Trade the JD for A CC./Sorry Hard couldn't resist ribbing ya a little.Hard said:I think what you are saying is exactly what the tech from the dealer told me how to set up my deck for mowing. I set the mower deck height with the dial on the floorboard, lower the deck to that point. Then, I set the 4 gauge wheels high enough so I can just slide my hand between the wheel and the ground. So far this has worked. My yard is definately not flat. I will pay close attention next time I mow to see if the wheels are digging in.

I dont have the divit problem described in this thread, although I do find it a knuckle busting experience getting front bracket to attach to 2520 tractor. IS there a fix for this problem?

I had trouble with my front bracket. I had to use a hammer to put it on or take it off. Dealer fixed that. The picture of the mower looks just like mine, and I have had mine a year. Mine did not dig in for the first few months, but after that it started. JC
All I got were the wheels in a box from Deere. I added my own zerks and have been trying to get the washers from my dealer. I just don't understand why they can't fix it right for everyone. I had a few minor problems with a new xuv gator. I have had such a time with my 62d, that I did not want to go down the same road with the gator. I took it back to the dealer with 7.5 hours on it. They are trying to sell it for me. JCYASH2520 said:My front wheels were the same as the picture until I received the update that added the grease fittings to the swivel section. I had started to see the wheels begin to bind and had been tearing them apart once or twice a month to clean out and grease. With the added grease fittings and spacer washers, I now only need to grease to keep them moving freely.
Foots said:Is the problem only with the 62" deck with the 2520 ? or is there the same problem with the 54" deck ? I just ordered my 2520 with the 62" deck and I am a little nervous after reading this info....Might change to the 54" deck ..
what are your thoughts
