The 2305 and 2320 are the only ones with this mowing height knob. It worked great on the 2305, not great on the 2320. One thing the knob allows you to do is lock up the mower so you can use the 3PH without the mower going up and down.

I was at Stanton Equipment Plainfield today for the "Drive Green Challenge". I was showing the Regional Reps the problem with my 2320 and 62D and to my absolute astonishment discovered that 2 of the brand new 2320's have the adjustable threaded mower lifting rod. Mine came with the non-adjustable rod that I spent my money to have threads installed so I could adjust it. I still get no response from John Deere and now I see this, What a slap in the face this is! I have repeatedly contacted John Deere Corporate and get no answers.

After the regional rep "Terry" called me there are still no answers or acknowledgement from John Deere as to why there are design flaws and discrepancies in my 2320 and 62D mower. I am astonished at the "Denial" from what I had considered to be a "Reputable American Company".

Have the same 2320 and same 62D mower. AND the same height problem. Also called JD - ALSO SAME response. They told me to get a second opinion at another dealer. JD ENGINEERING AND CUSTOMER SERVICE REALLY DROPPED THE BALL HERE , AND THEN DOESNT give their customers a fix for this defective design?????

Do you have the threaded adjustment rod? You can see it from the back of the tractor. look above the left axle.

Might not be defective design, but may be out of adjustment. Just sayin...
Keep looking for the culprit.
And yes, I've read the entire thread. Problem appears it hasn't been found yet, and not going to be if waiting on Deere to make any bold move. IMO
