6300 Fuel Pump does not run on ignition circuit John Deere

I waiting to see the fuel pump wiring diagram you said you could post. I am thinking there is a relay that self latches to hold the power to the pump.

Could not figure how to load the diagram with the mobile site (smart phone). I will try to remember to transfer to laptop and load. I chickend out on buidling the pump myself. I checked the inlet meetering device, the meetering shaft and the priming pump. All were ok but still no pump action. Pump shop pulled the main pump head and the plungers on it were both stuck in. I got to pay $400 for the build. Probably about a 2 hour job. But, he does know the job. I already missed one small spring location on the linkage. Also, he has nice clean bright work room, jigs, soaking tank, chemicals. Also, my pump has a different inlet meetering device than all the pump diagrams I could find. So, what's a 93 jd6300 with loader worth?

The soft parts for the pump build runs $10 on Amazon. Full kit with several hard parts runs $145. All my hard parts looked good.

I am sure the pump only needs cleaning, new o-rings and gaskets. $10.00. But his nice shop, tools and jigs are a big investment and I do want to respect that. Good chance I would make an error the first time on that pump.

Theres a BIG difference in watching someone who KNOWS what they're doing & someone buying a 30.00 gasket kit TRYING to redo one in their garage..
Theres a REASON that there is a business built around building injection pumps..
What takes "us" 4-5 hrs to do.. would take a novice 2-3 days.. & even then, they don't KNOW if its right..
& just because they put it on the tractor & it runs, they "think" its right..
Theres a BIG difference in, "ITS RIGHT" & "its running".. Just because its running doesn't mean it's right..

Agreed! I am guessing there is long/hard learning curve to repairing them too.

The game has changed. Information is unbelevably more available. The enternet has driven the price of a pump rebuild down from $1000 ten years ago to $400 today. Because now, consumers can Google a few instructional vidieso as well as pump specifications and service documents. I will likely build the next one. I have a whole fleet of equipment that has been sitting. Time to clear it out. Now way I will bay dealer rates. John Deere gets $250 for a one hour visit. That kinda funny. They can kiss mine. Although, might be worth it if I needed pressure testing to avoid buying pressure and flow meeters. I am a highly skilled technician and I would feel like a thief charging that. The pump guy put in a $ 30 slonoid and a $10 gasket kit. He also had better documentation than I could find . I needed linkage codes .

I do appreciate all the help and the discussions. Not just informative social too.
