Most 3-152 and 4-203 used camshaft adapter for tach drive. All Continental used gen or alt gearbox tach drive, Perkins 4-212, 4-236 and 4-248 did too.

Interesting. I knew that later models were equipped with alternators, but I didn't know that the alternators were equipped with tach drives. Perhaps converting my 1966 Massey 135 from a generator to an alternator will be much easier than I had originally anticipated.

i know a 10dn gm alt can have a tach drive fitted ( if you get the model setup as such.. )

The only reason I found it and believe me I have been combing eBay like a stalker. I changed my search wording and brought up about 300+ more pages. I used "Massey ferguson" instead of adding 135 plus those two words. There is a tach drive only for sale for equipped GM alts for around $67.

I may even go as far as adding a fuse box when my new wiring harness comes in made for an Alternator. Robert

Can anyone give me some advice on how to remove the Drive connector pictured in the post earlier by The kid. I have an MF65 AD4-203 and attempting to replace the tractor meter and the cable. It does have a camshaft adaptor on the upper rear of the cylinger block as pictured. The original cable seemed to shear off at the drive end, leaving the square key and a few threads of the cable, stuck in the drive connector, I believe. I can easily remove the housing but the stuck key won't budge and I can't seem to remove the drive connector. It may be seized. It is a difficult location to work on. Any tricks or suggestions??
