I thought some of you folks might like to see a 6500 hard at work. I'm new to sending photo, so bear with me.

Bob, that doesn't look like work to me, the operators smile is too big to be work. Thanks for the pictures.

Bill;

For the most part, I really do enjoy it. Yesterday was one of those days I should have stayed indoors. Got big hemlock (22 inch diameter) hung up. Took 45 + minutes to get it down. Got hit in eye by branch - really hurts. Finally broke drive chain on winch.

Sorry about the quality of the photos. I tried sending better ones, but the file size seems to be too big.

Rule one : Always scowl when you're on your tractor.

My wife felt so bad for me because I had to go out in the freezing cold and clear the drive that she baked my favorite- apple pie. In truth, we only had three inches of fluff and I could have left it, but I wanted some seat time. On the way out the door, I pasted on my most miserable scowl. It paid off. /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif

You look like you're having waaay too much fun, but I can see why. That is one nice tractor. Thanks for the pics. /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Where did you get the FEL grapple, made by, and how do you like it?

I think it is a Versa-Tech. I got it on Ebay from surplussue (?) in Syracuse NY. It is really rugged. I grab the end of 18 in. diameter, 8.5 ft. long hemlock logs (around 800 lbs.) and stack them 10 feet high. A log that size with the other end setting 6 feet beyond the end of the tines has to put a lot of pressure on that one grapple, but it handles it with out any trouble.
