gemini5362, Thanks for the info. Do you have the dealer name in Fort Smith? It doesn't show on Montana web site.

action machine in fort smith was a dealership for them. I looked on the website when someone told me that and they were listed on montanas web site I dont see it there now. I googled action machine and it showed up as a montana dealership but I dont see the website now. How far are you from Fort Smith, If you need me to I can drive over to where action machine shop is and see if they are there and a dealer.

This points out the only problem I have with recommending Montana to anyone looking to buy one. For the money they are one of the best tractors around. I do seem to see a lot of non tractor dealerships. When I bought my tractor the dealer was going to put in a service garage. Now he sells trailers on his lot and does not have any tractors and needless to say no garage. Williams tractor in fayetteville sold Montanas they are a big New Holland dealer and they sold Montanas also. I was a bit worried about them not selling them any more. They were only about 15 miles from Montana Headquarters. In the three years I have had my tractor I have seen three different buisnesses quit selling the montana brand. The tractor itself works good and everyone that I have talked with that have them like them.

It looks like the nearest dealer to fort smith is now in greenland. That is on I-540 just south of west fork.

I'm in Russellville, about an hour east of Fort Smith. I do worry a little about getting service ,especially with no Montana dealer nearby. I could get the engine worked on by local Deere dealer, and I guess I could get the rest of the tractor serviced by Mahindra dealer. This would obviously not be warranty work though. That's the biggest problem I see with all of the lesser known tractors, lack of service departments. There was a Montana dealer in Russellville, but they only lasted about a year. Looked at a Kioti dk45s cab today, actually quite impressed.

I know where russelville is. I am hoping that one of the montana dealers that are on this forum will jump in this discussion. I love my Montana but have a hard time recommending it any more basically because I have not seen any dealership within 100 miles of us keep Montana tractors in stock. The way it stands right now I could be in a situation where the nearest dealership is 100's of miles away. The montana factory is in springdale but they wont deal with individuals. I am thinking that they are going to have to change that policy unless they can keep dealerships. I would look at something else if you can afford it just because of the deaer issue.
