72 inch Rachet Rake on sale at TSC $199

Bought a 72 inch yesterday (6/5) in Oak Ridge TN....marked $199 but rang up for $99 at the register!!
Is that my prize?

If you call the local TSC should they know if these are in stock ? - I've been meaning to get one - and this would be a great deal.

Edit: I'm going to be putting this on a 60" bucket - if the 72" is too long - is the rake setup in such a way that maybe I could just cut the ends off of it to get a more manageable length for the 60" bucket?

The extra length isn't a problem, actually those ends sticking out are handy for ripping down vines or using as a way to attach chains, etc. What may be a problem is hooking up the ratchet straps.

I just finished reading thru a good portion of the posts on this thread. I could always reweld the mounting tabs like a couple of the other people have done.

As soon as I get a chance I'm going to start calling around some of the TSC stores in my area and see if anybody still has these in stock.

I finally got to put mine to the test... a friends road washed out badly. I hooked the RR and a rear blade... used the rear blade a little but mostly used the RR... before and after photos here:

Looks like those 72" ones are pretty much dried up. I called one store and he said he had just sold a 72" ... for $99.00 this past week.

So apparently I missed it by THIS much.

I probably called 10 different stores in 3 states (NH,MA,ME) - and only 3 of them even had the 68" one in stock. Mostly they just said that they weren't in stock. One women did know that the 72" was a closeout item - and one woman said she would investigate whether or not I could order a 72". So I will wait to hear back on that one.

I think I'll probably take a trip up to one of the stores that has the 68" one in stock either Friday night or Saturday. The 72" one would be to big for the 60" bucket on my B3200. But for $99 I probably would get one anyway and modify it to fit - if I could find one.

Barring that I will likely just spend the $$ on the correct one for my bucket and move on. I had been thinking of getting one anyway.

I just wish I had clued in on this sooner - I might have been able to score one for cheap.

If they made one 84" or even 96" I'd take it and strap it right onto my 72" bucket. It is amazing at gravel road grooming. It is doing a fine job of raking up the small slash debris into piles on my pasture clearing operation.

I wish I could mount it to my grapple so I could back-drag the pile and pick it up all in one operation.

Give the TSC store you call the SKU 1125031 and ask them to do a search for you. They can check ALL stores and tell you if there are any out there.
