8561,
Welcome to TBN!
I have a Kubota
B2910 with a Woods 7500 backhoe. Here's my $0.02.
IF you're definitely going to get a backhoe, I would compare the
B7500 and the
B7800/
B2710/
B2910. The reason being is that the upper end of the B series can handle a larger backhoe (Woods 7500) than the lower end (Woods 6500). That was one of my main reasons for going with the
B2910. (The others were additional loader capacity and all those back-saving/protecting conveniences of the
B2910. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif)
A backhoe is a great implement, but in all honesty, I think many of us on TBN feel that it generally doesn't pay for itself. It's nice to have and worth it's weight in gold when you need it, but over the long run renting or hiring the job out is probably more cost effective. Of course, if you're like me, you hate to pay other people to do stuff you know you can do with the right tools, so I like to buy the tools. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif
Unless you needed the bi-speed turning option of the
B2410, I don't see where the
B2410 would be a significant jump up from the
B7500, especially where the backhoe is concerned. They are both rated to take the Woods 6500. However, there is at least one member here on TBN that has a Woods 7500 on his Kubota
B7500 and says it works well.
Feel free to ask us questions, that's why we're here. Also, you should find a lot of good information if you do a search on the various backhoe related topics.
Good Luck.
