It sounds like you are doing a good job checking everything. It still could be an air issue but probably fuel or lack of it when loaded. This tractor does not have a turbo charger does it? If so be sure it is working.

No, no turbo charger. There is a small rubber nozzle/flap near the front of the air filter, and it's a little torn up. I think it has something to do with introducing ether in colder weather. I'm not sure if the state of this rubber could cause problems with the air flow.

I went ahead and ordered a new fuel pump, it was cheap enough, about €22.

I regret not completely ruling out the line from the tank to the fuel pump, I could have done that easily enough (I won't be back at it for a couple of weeks). Cleaning the tanks on this isn't as straightforward as if it were a stock tank behind the driver though. There are two tanks under the feet of the driver, connected together with a pipe about 1" diameter under the tractor transmission block. Then the fuel line comes up out of this connecting pipe to the fuel pump. It's the same diameter as the fuel lines in the rest of the fuel system, so narrow enough, and could be clogged up, but it's hard to imagine that the 1" pipe is so silted up, that the fuel line coming up out of it is also clogged with silt. But given the amount of silt that was in the fuel pump, it's possible. I'm just hoping that it's down to the fuel pump, maybe the gritty stuff has gone through it, and has made it less efficient at pumping fuel positively towards the fuel filters and injection pump.

I'll report back when I get the new pump installed.
