You and I are near the same age. I graduated from Highschool in 1972 and yes.......us Texans love our Chicken Fried Steak....Breakfast, Lunch or Dinner! :)

See all you Texacans are real southerners like myself. Yawl were in the fracas "the Northern Invasion into the South". And they still keep coming, but we've also got the Southern invasion from Medico.

You heard anything on the Caroni flail mower? I'd like to have one, don't need it, would just like to have it.

Yes, I have the largest 8’ Caroni Flail mower and used it a lot a few years ago for some really thick underbrush. Tore everything to bits but now that the place is all cleared off It just sits. Works well for tough areas but I do not like it for general mowing of short pasture. I get a lot more done on pasture with a regular rotary rear shredded and I can mow much faster with the rotary.

PS- Your not a real Southerner if you don’t eat Collard Greens and Cornbread on a regular basis......

I nearly killed myself, doing research to write a book entitled, "The Best Darn Chicken Fried Steak in Texas". :) Many of my favorite places have closed in the last 10 years. I guess it's hard to hire fry cooks.

I am pleased to announce my cholesteral levels are in the good range without meds. My good cholesteral could be a bit higher. Prolly' cuz I don't eat collard greens. Does spinach count?

You guys are making me laugh. I'm a bit younger, but my brothers graduated your times.

Well now this damned yankee likes chicken fried steak and gravy in the morning with a couple of eggs fried over easy.
Or biscuits and sausage gravy, or eggs and side meat smothered in green chilli sauce.
Maybe that's because I spent several years over in West Texas.

Oh by the way yes I have used a needle to grease sealed bears, I generally use a pick to lift the seal just a bit and grease it while rotating.

I might have the belts a bit tight but in my career farming/nursery/orchard for 45 years have used 35-40 machines with multiple belts and never had any problems.
I adjust the upper 3 point link where the finish mower rides on the ground by the four wheels. The top link only comes into play when the mower is raised on u-turns and as I stated originally this ground is as smooth as a pool table. The wheels that split apart were on different sides, one front and one rear.

Sounds like you got setup correct. Just sharing thoughts. Sometimes even the most experienced miss the simplest thing.

LOL. Done deal. Original Moon Pies and Royal Crown Cola, maybe a Nehi grape or peach soda. Hey make that crackling cornbread. We might have some souse meat in white vinegar for horse divers.
