Most of the F450's and 550's had some deep gears. I think they started at 4.56 or 5.18. Not sure if you could change the gears out, as thats not the same rear end as the F350s. I believe its a Dana 110.

The F-450/550 chassis cabs had either a 4.88 or 4.30 axle ratio. Soundguy's truck started out as a chassis cab and had an aftermarket hauler bed installed. That was the only way you could get a 450/550 pickup until '08 when Ford started offering an F-450 pickup. Those ratios were still offered when the '08 F-450 pickup came out, Ford eventually dropped the 4.88 later in '08.

has a class 5 hitch it looks like ont he rear.. 12000/1200 not too shabby. need to get a new trailer now.

I but they don't make an ag trailer like I want in a 5th wheel... ho hum..

I found a reese gooseneck plate that pins on my 5th wheel rails.. for 157$.. so I'll just order that.

funny enough, on the route i drive to work, a decent gooseneck trailer just went up for sale.. is used and maybee ?10ys? old.. but looks ok... might have to stop and measure it and see what i got that will fit on it..

How many miles on your F450?

Two of my neighbors have 2001-02 F250s with 7.3L PSDs and around 120K miles on them. Both have had to replace injectors and have had front end jobs.

Any service history on the F450?
