Same here. As Amazon grew, they failed to police the companies under their umbrella and I got screwed by two. No refund, no replies to emails, and no way to escalate to Amazon. One I returned the item and that was it, no refund, no recourse, end of communication. At least with ebay, they protect the buyer somewhat better, and have feedback ratings to keep the sellers honest in most cases.

That's why I won't buy anything off Amazon unless the listing at least says "Fulfilled by Amazon" or I know the company. I've had a three for three failure rate when I don't follow my own rules. I got a refund or replacement on all three but it's just not worth the hassle or time waiting. I have never had a problem with items that come from Amazon directly and I've ordered a lot. It's my go-to place now that Ebay is such a mess.

That's odd. I have had a seller pull that and had to go to Amazon to get my money back, but Amazon was good at refunding my money without much hassle.
I prefer Fulfilled by Amazon stuff for the fast shipping, but I will take even an independent seller through Amazon over Ebay.

Has anyone noticed it seems fulfilled by amazon free shipping has gotten really slow. It seems even when in stock and shipping from center just 100 miles away it ha been taking 10 days before they ship, but ups only takes a day to get here. I wonder if they hold it to get more people touy prime

We have Prime, but also noted the slowed down shipping on in stock items. Almost seems they no longer want you to get them soon unless you pay for shipping upgrade.
Twice I have contacted Amazon on this when it was apparent I not received in the original timeframe. In both cases they immediately shipped next day FedEx.

Why?

I started using eBay in March, 2005, Feedback shows I have purchased from 130 different sellers.

Never had a problem.

I have used Amazon a few times during the same time span, but I prefer eBay and PayPal.

My biggest problem would probbaly be Paypal's restriction on how much I can send (over the 12+ years, I have had my PayPal account, I have spent enough to be close to the $10k sending limit on an account that doesn't have a linked bank account). Yes, I know they are technically different companies now and I could link my bank account (I had a linked account for a while) to spend more than the $10k, but I don't want the risk at the present time.

The other would be the variability in how long it takes to get something shipped (currently waiting on some UHMW that I bought on the 10th and is supposedly in transit, but wont be here till the 21st per the estimator).

All of my original components of the back up camera are still working. I kinda wish I would have got a better mount. Every once in a while(2 or 3 months) this one will will fall off. I wonder if my original camera is still working since I mounted it inside the cab?

All my gear is working well too. Just used the rear camera today in fact! Only put on the front bucket cam when doing work with my forks.

Mine is working just fine also, still have the "temporary" mounting pole I built for the front camera. The front camera really helps when using anything on the front loader.
