Wow! That's huge!
He's talking about it being mad cow disease, and several human diseases like ALS, parkinson's, alzheimer's. Hope it pans out.
I'll believe it when I see it...
I'm betting this is FAKE NEWS...

That was years ago, articles by Dr. Bastian were published in 2014.
Fast forward to 2018, just reviewed a few recent studies from Vaccine journal. It doesnt look like they have made much progress overall. Mean survival times are not significantly different between control and vaccinated elk subjects in the study.

I'm inclined to agree with you that it's fake news, but I guess we can hope.
A guy at work said his dad had died of MCD. I told him that the medical world said no one contracted or died from it.....he said BS! He is not a medical term type person but he knew way too much about it to dismiss it. He said it was a horrible way for his dad to die.
If his dad had MCD (vCJD in humans) the CDC would know and only 4 cases have been in the US
vCJD Cases Reported in the US | Variant Creutzfeldt-Jakob Disease, Classic (CJD) | Prion Disease | CDC
I saw no new peer reviewed journal articles from Dr. Bastian, which means there is no real evidence based research on the topic yet. I would not hold my breath. What was two years ago? That press conference was 11 days ago.
Even a fast test for the disease for carcasses would be great, hope this doc is onto something. Proof is in the pudding.
Remember Barry James Marshall & John Robin Warren discovery of Helicobacter pylori as a cause for peptic ulcers were rejected in the 80’s and it took a long time for the medical community to accept their findings. They got the Nobel prize in 2005.
