Harv you sure do love a challenge. Watching your projects over the years I always thought how much I would enjoy and what a learning experience it would be to work with you for a few weeks. After seeing this one I have decided I am too old and will just have to die ignorant.

We developed a system based upon the luck and leverage that Rox wanted to see in action. No one even came close to getting hurt and we got the rock moved to where we wanted it.

The rock slides down the framework rather easily. We ended up with two men guiding the rock down and one man acting as a brake with a line attached to the rock.

We started at the bottom and worked up. So we have less distance to travel each time.

The first time I looked at the bottom of the hill towards the top I saw something like this.

It is coming together rather nicely. And it's like walking up a concrete set of stairs. There's no vibration or shaking of any kind.

Each stone is held in place by the weight of the stone above it and two bolts through the steel frame into the bottom of the stone.

If you look at this picture you'll see my non-Masonic corner stone. I have a lot of friends who are Masons and they're forever installing a corner stone for this project or that.

The difference is their cornerstones are for holding the corner of a building. Mine is make a change of direction in a walkway of sorts.

Yesterday was a great day. It wasn't an easy one by any measure. But it was a good day on many levels.

We're about twenty stones short. So we're back on Oklahoma time. Hopefully they'll be in Monday and we'll be back in business Tuesday.
