We've had our property for well over a decade and less in the steel building that we camp out of through hunting season. There is so rural power or water. This year we'll be able to have a hot shower. Using the internet as guidance, I built a shower system. It's a hand truck with a battery, water heater, pump and gas tank assembly going through a window in the tent. I have a tarp and left over galvanized stainless steel studs to clamp a tarp under the shower to discharge the water out of our garage. It's a bit thirsty for water but I'll purchase more water containers to support it. I'm thrilled; the spouse even more as this hunting season will be luxurious.

Thanks for telling me how worthless my efforts were.

I've taken many showers with a 5 gallon bucket of water and a coffee can to dump it over my head. It used to be standard practice on summer days when I wanted to go someplace after work to leave the bucket in the sun, where it would get quite warm by the end of the day. Days when I was painting property lines I might bring 2 buckets.

Your method looks much more enjoyable.

We day hike, but lack of a shower is my wife's reason for not liking overnight tent camping.

Looks like you've found a solution for your needs at the property.

Back in my early camping days, we showered out of a canteen. We called it PTA. Privates, Teeth and Ass. Later, we were fortunate enough to have State Parks with showers then after that, a full featured motorhome. I never once missed the early PTA days. The slang words for privates were often used instead. 🤣

That's a pretty sweet setup.

(y) Did your setup include an on/off switch on the shower head? Premise being; rinse, water off add soap, lather and rinse. Saves water. Well, pump and generator for next season? 😋
