A Little Help

BTW XKIER, I discovered your YouTube videos. Fun to watch. In any of the snow you've moved did you find yourself needing tire chains or has the FWD been sufficient to handle things?

I haven't run my R on ice yet, but my drive is level enough that if it does become icey, I won't slip too far. I'm not going to buy any chains for my R and just make do with what I have. My most preferred method is the 54 blade. For about two months I regretted my R and wanted a 2520 or equivalent cheaper tractor. I just couldn't give up the refinements that 1026R offers. So I'll keep it until deere redesigns the two series, to resemble the one series.

I'm confident the 1026 will do what I need it to do. If, when I retire, I decide to maintain my whole 14 acres then I'll need to be going bigger than the 2 series anyway.

From what you described in your original post, the 1026r will do what you need.

You know you can get the auto connect MMM with the three series. Heated, air conditioned cab and everything! ;)

Delivery is scheduled for Friday afternoon.

Yesssss!!!

HeyXSKIER, according to my dealer the 2 series gets fully upgraded to all the goodies for 2013. They are probably dropping the 2320 though.

That will be interesting. Anyone interested in a good price on a 1026R?

LOL. It never ends right? I was sitting on the one I bought when I was being told this. I asked what I could get on a trade in. :)

Signed all the papers and went over the new tractor at 9am this morning. Took a good hour and they went over everything including removing and reinstalling both the loader and mower. It was delivered not too long after that. About 2:30 I got outside to play. Took the mower off and put it back on. Flawless. Then I took it off and went to play. Filled all the holes in the driveway from a pile of screenings I keep for that and then moved a 6 yard pile of top soil that was setting where the barn will be. The barn for the tractor. I needed the tractor so I could build a barn------for the tractor.

Pictures tomorrow.
