a T2420 is coming home

Hey fellas, been lurking for awhile doing research. Great site for sure. I read about tractors until I thought my eyes were going to bleed :confused2:

Currently got a '78 International 464 that has seen better days so I started looking for a new machine this spring. Looked at Montana, Massey, Kioti, Farmtrac and Mahindra. Knew I didn't want a Deere or Kubota so didn't even bother looking there. The stable NH name sold me. Found a very reputable dealer that had a brand new open cab 2420 with FEL and he made me a deal I couldn't refuse . Added a front and back bale spear, grill guard and wheel weights. Probably be getting a new 6' brush hog for it real soon as well.

Waiting on the wheel weights to come in then he'll deliver it, probably happen next Wednesday. Can't wait, got alot of work planned. After battling the headaches that go along with having an old tractor, it'll be nice to have something that I can rely on :thumbsup:

when its get there and if you have added rear remotes - recheck the lug nuts on the rear wheels. 3 new 2420's around here have had the left rear wheel fall off after a few hours of uses. Two different dealers- could have been flukes but Check them anyway !!!

NH is just madening with their model numbers T2420, or is it TC-55 or perhaps a Boomer 4060.
I bought a 4060 and it was just delivered to the Dealer and I will pick-up tomorrow.
I bought it with a 270TLFEL, EHSS, and a rear SCV.
I have owned a (Ford)1520 since 1989 ... Many said the 20- PTO HP was light, but it was the most reliable machine I have ever owned!.
All it ever needed was routine maintanence, period.
How could I ever buy anything but a Ford, now NH?
I looked at Deere and I am sure the 4720 (or what ever was a comp) is a nice machine, but it was alittle more money and in my opinion, not as stout a machine.
I just love the NH product line.

Yes, the model numbers are confusing. One dealer had a 4060 but it was $2000+ higher than a 2420 with all the same equipment. Couldn't justify the extra $$ just to have the latest model number I got my machine in Wednesday evening and started working it yesterday, boy that thing is nice :thumbsup: Good luck with yours

Didn't get rear remotes (never needed them in the past so I passed on that option) but I checked the nuts nonetheless. Thanks for the heads up.
