Just a quick update. After a lot of digging and searching online I was able to find a direct email to LG's USA Chief Executive, president of Customer Operations, and Vice President of Customer Operations. After emailing all three with the details I included here I revieved a phone call from Abigale, who claims to be the presidential liason. She claims that she will now handle all communications on my case and I should communicate directly with her. She has authorized up to $1,000 reimbursement for me to have the repair done from a local repair company of my choice, and is supposedly going to handle the request to A&E for service tomorrow personally. Not sure if this is more smoke and mirrors but I can at least get some repair estimates myself tomorrow. Also no more dealing with a random person from an overseas call center. She is located here stateside and no hard to understand accent.

I will just hope it's sooner rather than later. I'm not the type of customer that's going to go away easily.

If it was me, that shat box would be in a landfill. We don't do LG anything here. Aren't they Chinese?

LG (formerly Lucky Goldstar) is South Korean, there is a close affiliation with LS.

If I put that shat box in a landfill I have to shell out about $3,000 for a new one. Doesn't quite put me on the winning side of this situation in my opinion. I only want LG to cover what they are legally required and have promised to cover under their warranty. Nothing more, nothing less.

I hope you get it repaired.

Due to bad luck in the past, I never buy LG, Samsung or GE.
My best appliances have been Whirlpool, and Maytag

A warranty is only as good as the company issuing such warranty .
It's really a piece of paper that makes the buyer feel good. Because at the end of the day, If they refuse to cover it, are you going to hire a lawyer and sue them ? They're betting many people will not !

I feel your pain. I sent an email to the chairperson of UPS when we were having issues with poor delivery service. Received emails and phone calls from executives and regional staff and the situation was corrected. Peace of mind is why I buy my appliances from a local business that sells HVAC, appliances, and cooking supplies, Cole AC & Appliance. They do all their own service and handle the warranty issues for anything they sell. It is a family operation with long tenured employees. Price is reasonable compared to a big box store and they do the delivery, install, and removal of the old appliance. They supplied all the appliances and 3 AC units when we built in 2009. Since that time we have added another AC for the shop and replaced the dishwasher, a 30 year old refrigerator, and the older washer & dryer we brought in when we moved in. Fast and reliable service is a necessity since we have 4 AC units, 4 refrigerators, 2 sets of washers & dryers, plus the kitchen appliances. I buy Whirlpool for the most part.
