Today's Monday. That means chemo for about four hours. The good thing is the weekly chemo isn't the monster the once every three week ones were. This is number six, six more to go after that.

I told her this morning that come October we can look back, shake our heads, and make comments about the past year. The good thing is she's feeling a lot better because the side effects of this treatment haven't been too bad so far. She has a lot more energy and we can see a flicker of light at the end of the tunnel and no sounds of a train.

No train is good.

yes, the only trains allowed are made by Lionel and are small and manageable...;)

It sounds like the full treatment is being given and hopefully that will eradicate this nasty disease from Glenda. God bless you both.

Today is the big 72 for Glenda!!!! We have six more weeks of chemo and then we will get to do one of those cute photo shoots where she brags about no more chemo.

There is a window of time between the last chemo and the surgery to remove the expanders. Expanders are devices placed in the breast cavity after a mastectomy to prepare the breast for final implants. She has decided that at her age she doesn't need the implants mostly because the expanders have made her so uncomfortable. So in that window of time we are talking about a road trip with the Casita for a couple of weeks. I can't imagine staying that long in one and hopefully after the trip she will feel the same. Then we can get back to staying in the fifth wheel.

After the surgery the radiation treatments will start, 28 treatments in six weeks. Then we will be able to do two and a half week jaunts, hopefully in the fifth wheel.

She's doing good and making plans is a part of that.
