I'm still running the stock battery in my 2320 but I check it often and carefully pressure wash around it when I clean my tractor. It seems to be ok so far with about 8 mos. and 40+ hours on my tractor.
Superduper said:These battery sizes, 22NF are not hard to find but are classified as specialty sized battery for a number of uses such as solar, UPS, wheel chair, golf cart, lawn tractor, etc. Finding one suitable for a diesel engined tractor is much harder as the CCA just isn't there. I've seen them as low as 72cca with 390 common but less than the OEM battery. Some don't even have a cca rating but offer only a reserve capacity. Group 51 sized batteries are no better (slightly smaller than 22nf, although similar to the extent that I think they might be interchangeable).
By far, the best spec'd 22nf AGM gel battery out there that I've seen in a short time searching is this one:
Adventure Power UB12550 (Group 22NF) Battery - Group 30H Batteries
This battery is a marine usage battery but no different than a yellow top battery, I suppose. However, it has 670 CCA and the description says it can be mounted upside down without leaks, resists shock and vibration and no gassing during charging... Sounds like the way to go. For $150.95, it's not cheap but as hard as they are to find, free shipping (heavy), and the upgraded specs suggests that it's probably worth it.
Perhaps someone here might be the guinea pig and try one?
