I've seen the trailers some have with an inverted arch on the back that pivots, enabling log loading with a winch. I'd like to do something similar but the only trailer I have is a dump trailer. I don't see a problem with beefing up the back a bit to hold the weight of the base plates for the arch. What I don't know is where or how to attach the winch.
Any ideas? Here's some pics of what I want to do and what my trailer looks like.

I’d move the battery/accessory box, add a third/center member to the tongue and put the winch basically where the box is now. Your idea about outriggers to the ground would be good to prevent frame twisting.

Where do u live that has logs that big?

I recently saw a dump trailer that had a 4” piece of angle welded across the bottom front of the bed. Angle tucked under the bottom and around the outside front.
The gentleman welded a receiver hitch to that facing and through to inside the bed. Then used a receiver winch mount inside the bed with a locking pin hole on the outside front end. One of those receiver cap things kept junk out of it when not being used.

That pic is just one I grabbed to show what I'm attempting to do.
But we do have trees that big here in Indiana.

The box holds the battery, pump/tank and controller. I'm not sure where to move it to.

Did you ever get this up and running?
I would mount the winch on the front of the dump body, maybe re enforce it a bit if needed.
