Same thing on my L4400. Does anyone know if you can wire directly into these? On mine they look like they already have some sort of connector on them. This would be ideal and I'd go ahead a rig something up.

But I wonder if the new lights would only come on when I put on the brakes? /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif

And where would you put the switch. Electricity is like voodoo to me.

the switch is easy. In the simplest terms, you would just cut one of the wires going to the light, then connect the two ends where you cut into the switch.

mine also have the connectors on them. I kind of figured that those wires were wired into the same curcuit as the headlight switch.

Sorry, I was out of town a couple days and just got back..
I had a wiring/trailer type plug in the back of my tractor near my 3 point hitch that had power when the headlights are turned on. My middle 2 lights are wired to it (they come on with the headlights).
The outside 2 lights have a seperate switch and I got power from the factory rear work light wiring.

My middle 2 ROPS lights aim straight ahead, the outside 2 lights are aimed to the side so I can see left and right.
I also have a rear work light just behind my seat to see out the back and the 3 point.

Steve,
The lights being behind my head do leave a slight/mild shaddow.
I would have liked the lights on the top/front of my canopy but I'm sure I would tear them off with tree branch's Etc.
I was concerned moving the lights farther forward under the canopy would have been a head banger getting on and off the machine.

I used those wires to power mine. I mover the turn signals to the outer holes and put my aux. lights where they used to be. The ony problem is that wire is hot whenever the key is on.
