I see a wiper in one pic and that means a cab maybe AC too. What is all the complaining about? Use this old Long 510, or this 58 Power Major and when you get back in your comfy climate control rig it won't seem quite so bad.
No complaining :) So far I love driving the tractor. AC works great, listen to music, no bugs, no dust. Life is good.

Have you done an environmental impact survey? Just take a scoop of dirt. Tie a landscape rake and.shovel on tractor. Water cooler. Go fix ruts and stay at it.

That's why I keep dad in a cab tractor. Now it's easier to cut and bale hay. He has worked outside all his life. At 73 I want him in the cab now days.

1) So I went to the co-op today. Their opinion was to use a box blade or a land plane and a landscape rake providing I have enough top soil.

2) I say that as a person who grew up in NYC. Growing up if you had asked me if one day I would own a tractor and belong to a co-op I would have looked at you like you had 3 heads :)

1) I am surprised no one has recommended a Rear/Angle blade with offset and hydraulic controls. A Rear/Angle blade with offset would allow you to roll straight down a ridge, windrowing ridge dirt into one swale, then return on the same ridge, windrowing ridge dirt into the opposite swale.

Hydraulic controls allow you to make fine adjustments while in motion. Important working tough soil.

The problem with a Box Blade is the bazillion forward and back repetitions.
How is your neck? Any neck arthritis?

Land Planes do not windrow.

My three recommendations; Disc Harrow, Harley Rake and Rear/Angle blade, approach elimination of ridges by working down the ridge length.

2) A lot of us here are like you. My work life was in sales and marketing. Retired at 58. Began tractoring at age 61.

Usefulness of OFFSET is demonstrated at 11:19.

My favorite implement for smoothing or leveling ground is this old Pony Grader.

I will be leveling our property with the rototiller
once over and leave it set until time to cut the
grass because this land was used for raising
beef so lots and lots of little clumps of grass

I have a spot that I want to level, fill in holes from old pine tree stumps. I only plan to do a small spot at a time. I don't want any thing to wash down the hills. I have most of the attachments listed, no rocks. I will try 5 acres and see how it goes and than try another spot after the first grows back. No hurry.

Consider a Yorkmodern Rake, model "RI-HEAVY".
The Model RI is available in two versions, Landscape or Heavy. The Landscape version uses 1" rake teeth and 1" spacing for a finer finish. The Heavy uses 1-1/4" rake teeth and 1-1/2" spacing for a coarser finish. These units combine many versatile features and adds the convenience of a Hydraulic Angle Option and a permanently mounted drop-down blade option. The Landscape and Heavy RI models are available in 6', 7', 8', 9' and 10' widths. The Model RI is now also Quick Hitch Compatible.

Interesting implement - Jeff. I use a combination of rear blade and LPGS with scarifiers. I wonder how that implement compares to a LPGS with scarifiers in both price and work accomplished.

I see there is a local dealer here in Spokane. I'm going in to Spokane today. I'm going to check this out.
