We recently purchased a Kubota tractor (BX2200), with a Class I 3-point hitch. Can anyone recommend a Brush Hog that will fit this tractor?

What HP do you have? You'll probably do best with a 4' rotary cutter, Howse is pretty reasonably priced. You could probably get away with a 5' if you need the extra foot.
I bought my Howse 5' a couple of years ago, used. It has been very reliable, even though it was abused in a former life and the deck has been patched up because of it, a few times.
Most rotary cutters are built like Fort Knox though.

My 24hp Deere uses a BushHog Squealer SQ600, a five foot, light duty model. I've been happy with it. The BushHog vendor had several different models and sizes in their lot. I trailered my tractor to their store and hooked up a couple different sizes and weights before making a decision. I would recommend that to you, if you can.

Otherwise, I agree with Torquin. My tractor is slightly larger than yours, and a 5'er is about as much as it can handle. A 4'er is probably a safe bet.

You don't want anything bigger than a 48" on the back of your BX in my opinion. The BX is too small to handle the weight and I doubt the 3PH will handle the bigger cutter easily either.

If you don't have a loader, you may find the front wheels of the BX lifting when you try to lift a 5' cutter, if you can attach it.

I know with my BX, without a loader, the front wheels have left the ground when I was backing up and stopped quickly, with only a 6' landscape rake on the back (that does not weigh much).

Kubota recommends a 48" rotary cutter for my B2910. I use a 5' on it, but would never even consider trying to hook that 5' rotarry cutter to my BX2200.

I would go with a 48" max for a Kubota BX, and might even choose a 42" unit (but probably not). /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif
