Ended up taking tractor back to dealer because I couldn't get the leak fixed. The fitting in question ended up having a hairline crack in it causing the leak. Dealer replaced it in about 10 or 15 minutes.

My L4400 had a hydraulic leak. It stays outdoors so I didn't notice it for a while. Leaked enough to bring the fluid level down below the check window. I found the leak myself. It came from around where the rear remote connects to the transmission housing just below the seat. I took it back to the dealer and it was a little o-ring that was blown. They didn't say so but I suspect it was installed improperly by the dealer. He fixed it quickly though.
I did have to rent a trailer and haul the tractor some 80 miles round trip, so it did cost me. But, this wasn't a Kubota QC issue and so far I've not had any other problems.
