I regard starting batteries as consumable parts. Consequently, I change them out every 5 years.
They only vent in extreme circumstancesJust because it's an AGM (absorbed glass mat) don't mean it's not vented because they are. Any battery with electrolyte in it, flooded cell or AGM will be vented. Only difference between an AGM and a flooded cell is the acid is in suspension in the glass (fiberglass) mat.
Have you checked your alternator output to be sure it's not overcharging?i don't intend to keep rinsing the supporting battery tray
thx in advance i'll prob replace accordingly soon....does TSC have the HD closed cell tractor batteries?
Key word here is VENTED. Extreme charge or discharge will cause them to gas off and release caustic fumes. They only vent in extreme circumstances

Right. Leave it in there until it destroys the battery tray and self-destructs anyway.Yeah, throw away a two or three month old battery that probably cost $100 bucks or more. Easy advise to give. Not something I'm about to do or suggest.
good point, thought about it. the factory battery was good when replaced (12yrs) & no dashboard alternator lights came on, but that would be worth checking.Have you checked your alternator output to be sure it's not overcharging?
Or he could address the problem with the new battery. Overfilled, overcharging, improperly secured, improperly vented. Whatever it is.Right. Leave it in there until it destroys the battery tray and self-destructs anyway.
