I know this is not really an attachment, but figured this was a good as place as any. Does anybody know anything about a 80 gal, 2 stage, 220 v, vertical Devilbiss air compressor with 6.5 hp motor?

Devilbiss is a good brand name. I bought an 80 gal 220V vertical Husky brand at Home Depot a couple years ago. Mines made by Campbell Hausfeld for HD. Works great as a home shop compressor for all my air tools. I'm sure yours will too.

What do you want to know about it? DeVilbiss makes lots of compressors, some with their own name on them, some for other brand names, such as Craftsman. I'm guess you're talking about model E7540. It meets the description you have, except they rate it as 6 hp instead of 6.5. I don't really know anything about that model, but I would expect it to be very good.

For reference, HP ratings on compressors are often deceiving. A better indicator of the true HP of a compressor is the amps on the motor. A 3 HP, 230V motor pulls 15 amps, a 5 HP 23 amps, a 7.5 HP pulls 30. This should give you an idea whether it is really a 6.5 HP. Also keep in mind that your breaker should be at least twice the amp rating of the motor to handle the inrush current on startup.
