Tell the new dealer that he should contact Kubota and learn how to "service" the product that he sells. The entire engine is covered by the warranty for 3 year unless it is used in a commercial application. In my opinion, the dealer is blowing you off and doesn't want to be bothered with warranty service claims for anything that he hasn't sold. Call Kubota and tell them about the problem... I am sure that they will give him a wake up call. Looking for reimbursement for a paid part when it should have been replaced under the warranty is not the way to go.... Servicing Kubota tractors is the same as servicing any other brand. The parts might be different and the procedures for installing parts may be different, but making a warranty claim is filling out the paper work and sending in the defective part and that is the same for all manufacturers. The paper work might be in a different form, but generally, they all take the same amount of time and require the same information. They might have to call for a warranty authorization, but that is why it is called "SERVICE"!!!!! Just be glad that it isn't a major repair that you need. I think that I might be looking for another Kubota dealership to make a relationship with if this is how they are going to be treating the old customers of the dealership that they purchased. My comments may be harsh, but I have run out of patience and tolerance for stupidity this week and this dealership sounds like it is being run by a bunch of stupid people!!!!!
