So Window World will be out Thursday.

And the Water Pump went out today on the mowing truck... Hmmmm wonder what I get to do tonight?

Had to go check it out and get it towed and change out trucks.

Ahhh, the secret too success in small business, only work half days,,,,,

Yes I knew the song, it is sung with much sincerity. But still a hoe named Roxanne! I jsut hope she is a hard working hoe for ya.
Hey I just looked back at your post i didn't know Puff daddy sang it also. I'm sorry if I am offending anyone but I think Puff Daddy is a stupid name for a grown man.

Somehow I did not know who Puff Daddy was,,,,, had to ask my daughter :) But was wanting to find the song and that was what googled up.

I just thought the name "fit", (no reference to present company of course) could not use the other names that came to mind as my wife would kill me :D

We had some huge storms come through last night, and I realized that Tub unit #6 was sitting outside unsecured. Lets hope last nights storm did not cause me to need tub unit #7 :)

OK Rox, I had to think and think and think, but came up with another name now. We will call her Lil' For those of you with too much time in the military, going back to about 1985 Sinai Peninsula, MFO.

Gather round and grab your seats and I will tell you the ballad of big a------ Lil and Yukon Pete...

For those of you that know the rest, your chuckling, and those that have no earthly idea what that is, consider yourself fortunate.

Anyway, good day today, I had an appointment so ended up sick today....

Window world came out and OMG, those 2 guys flat out knocked it out John, shoot up in here amongst us, one of us has got to have some releif......

I swear, in between 30 and 45 minutes they had the 12 windows out of my house, and the new ones set in place. Took another couple hours to finish them off and do the trim, but MAN were they efficient.

I would still be looking at the first one trying to figure it out.

We got the carport roof on, which empties off the gooseneck trailer.

I welded the gooseneck ball mount back up on the tractor where I broke it.

We made some good headway leveling up the storage building.

Got the air duct re-run to my bedroom.

Got the air duct taped on and installed on the bathroom fan. That is now done, but it is noisier then I thought, I need to look at that some more.

I fooled around again with my bathroom drain, realized I need a drain extension, picked it up this evening.

Doug picked up his sprayer.

Decided where to put the loading dock in at.

Got the longer hot water connector and hooked it up to the vanity.

Life is good, still overwhelming, and everything takes me far longer then I think it should, but it is moving forward some.

The good thing is, that with the price we bought this place for, we can run both house payments for a bit if need be.

2089 and 90 are my storage box getting set, not done yet, but getting closer.

2091, the drive circle addition, the loading dock will go just to the left of the power pole.

2092, Lil, sitting quietely back in the driveway.

Alan,

Looking at the pictures of the house and the windows, it struck me that those bricks really are not what I'd consider, the best color combination. I'm probably oversteping myself here, so I'll be tactful, but have you considered painting them? I usually would never consider painting brick, and when I see it done, it saddens me, but this might just be the exception.

Eddie

I agree with Eddie, needs paint to soften it up, also the color difference between the brick and block is distracting. I would install a horizontal water table at the brick block intersection. The side would'nt look so high . Rip a 2x6 14 degrees bevel inside and outside, attach with concrete screws and const. adhesive. Try a sample out of cheap fir and look at it. A smart move would be to find a colorist to help with the color choice. Now both Eddie and I are in trouble

Your not overstepping, I appreciate the insights, but really, I am struggling like heck to beat back the alligators, draining the swamp will come later :)

I am guessing though you guys are particularly looking at the side where you can see 4 windows two stacked on two and a lot of the basement showing.

Grand plan (which has gotten shoved so far back it is not funny) is that that side is where the additional 3000 sq ft of house will end up. So other then trying to adress drainage there, I am not doing much, certainly nothing cosmetic.

I just want to get a functional bathroom going right now :) And keep my wife from hanging drywall before we are done with the framing :)

That would be my

DARLING WIFE by the way..
