My boxes are in the right place, but I already have the outlets mounted, should have waited till the drywall was up.

One of those where it is so Obvious too me now,,,,,,,,, but just did not cross my mind while I was doing it, and there were plenty of warning signs too me that I ignored.

Oh well, I get better at stuff the second time around:D

I've seen tractors involved in this project! I think TBN needs to dump the "with your tractor" part of the projects forum. Everybody on this site either has a tractor or wants one. They all have projects, tractor and non-tractor related. This forum would get boring quick if everyone posted pictures of mowing and plowing.

Oh yeah, Melrose Fl.

So maybe we have met at Chapini's (spelling) then :)

My BIL is Jon Mills, they have a lake house there we go to sometimes.

There are several projects on here that do not involve tractors. I can think of 3 or 4 major ones right off of the bat. Some of them involve dozens of pages. Why say something about this one.

Alan I love this thread. Although it makes me tired to see all the work you are getting done. If all we talked about is tractors this site would be pretty boring. I love my little tractor but it is the whole spectrum of things that tractor folk are interested in that I find interesting. People need to lighten-up. Tone down the bad cop. If you don't like the way things are going you might want to write to Muhammed. He is very helpful.

Thanks for the enouragement folks, I hope this just gets grandfathered in. There are several folks following along on my progress here laughing at and with me a bit. Will just have to wait and see what the directives from management are, but I am of the belief of not rocking the boat, as TBN is such an asset to me that I would be lost without it.

So, on the house, we are starting to get some of the drywall in, and patched the hole in the ceiling where the stub wall was, and I am pulling outlets back up and using the roto-zip and getting around them. All in all it is going pretty well.

We got over to the kitchen vent area, and Mingo say's, where is your exhaust pipe..... I look like this  you know, I did not pull one out....... Time for a trip to the store, and a husband wife discussion that goes,,,, OK, pick what you want so we know how to mount it... we cannot go further without knowing how it will need to work..... We look at the one in the present house and it vents inside, and now I realize why our kitchen ceiling fan is always a mess. So we find a $300 GE one on Clearance at Sears for $90, outside venting one. So I spent this morning learning at Lowes about various vent options, now the wife needs to decide if we are going to give up cabinet space for the duct, or move the stove over, so the duct comes out between two studs......

So here are some pics.

2318, 2319, 2320
Kitchen / dining room pics. In Germany they do drywall without the tape....

Wonder how that is going to work out...............

2317, 2328, The man the myth, the MINGO, making the steps happen......

And yes, you may be a redneck if you have a concrete mixer up on blocks in your front yard :D 2322

So, the German contingent said huete ist rhuetag,,,,, vir nicht arbeit auf Sontag.......

Sounded good to me, so I went out and played with my hoe...:D

Unfortunately, (maybe fortunately) my wife and my Hoe get along real well....... Another of those things that now that I have bought it, my wife seems to forget she fought me tooth and nail about getting it and how much money I was spending etc. and cannt imagine being without the hoe around...................

So I got in about 5 hours of equipment time today between Lil the Hoe, and Babe my little NH 1925.

One of the problems is my land is very wet, water stands, and where we pushed stuff up, and left ruts, provides a wonderful breeding ground for mosquito's. So currently my concept is to take my hoe, and start digging a pond in my low area's, then direct all other waters towards those areas.

Now I know there are a lot of folks talking about how the water will run out, I have to have the right clay etc. You have to be experienced to dig a good water retaining pond etc..... However, if I could dig these holes and all the water drained off my land and went to the land of away through these holes, I would just be ecstatic :D They would then be called motorcycle riding area's and we would have small hills to play on  however, I am reasonably certain that these holes will all fill with water, and provide one Huge breeding area for mosquito's.... Fortunately I happen to know a guy, that can help me out with some larvacide dunks to prevent that in a confined area like a pond.:D

So

2333 This wet spot looks like a good place to start.

2337 lets dig behind this tree........

2338 Man, Lil sure has a bit more grunt then the 1925.. :D

2339 That is the tree laying on the ground.... Drag it over to the neigbors and drop it on thier place... shhhhhhhhhhhh

2341 I am standing over the 7' deep hole looking back towards lil, prior to getting babe involved and swaling out the ditch a bit, Need to get those pictures in the morning.....

That picture was taken at about 5,,,, which would be the same time I told my DW that I would be at the party :D But I could not leave it looking like that,,,,, it would be a SAFETY issue......

This thread has over 12,000 viewings. It is obvious to me that a great number of us TBN folks are interested in this thread and many other projects that do not 100% involve a tractor. Unless the purpose of this forum is commercial????
