I bet the welding rod itself is the biggest bottleneck to the electric flow as they are small in diameter compared to everything else in the chain.
The rod is designed to be that. You want the rod to arc and melt before anything else
just reading this thread makes me realize why road rage is out there !people on the edge!!!!
I think there are people with a chip, and ready to tell anyone about it, that's all. Everyone has an opinion and being aggresive serves no purpose and hinders constructive conversation. and with that, I have said enough and will go back to my listening mode.
Unless you are running a Hot Pulse or Twin Pulse 300+amps..The clamps discussed on here are not needed. I use them too but a 250 amp transformer unit does not require anything special for grounding. If you want one it's all good but you don't need it. A $5.00 clamp will work as well as a $50.00 one on a 252. just sayin.
