David, just returned from town, got the part # 715-1172 BK, the parts man said the BK is the manufacturer and the parts man would know that. The book he was looking in also had the pictures of several parts including the follower plates that go on top of the grease to pull it all down the sides of he bucket as it is used. The 5gal pail of grease that I saw was at a Tractor Supply store (TSC). Hope you get it working.

Let me see if im getting this right. that part is to be put on the grease gun to fit the lincon sized filler? I have a carquest grease gun and it appears to have a 12mm? bulk filling port already. and the bulk filler has a 15mm? filling port.

are the threds to the grease gun the same size?

Rick the grease im getting is 320 for a pak of tubes 240 for the bulk makes a tad of difference to me...

Doesn't matter to me one way or the other. I just wanted to point out that most of the world that use manual guns use cartridges for a reason. What do you do when you are off-site with an empty gun? If I needed to cut $80 from my budget, I'd figure something else out, that's all. When you let us know how it's working out, don't get the keyboard all greasy.

Sorry, just saw your post, you're right, I had to get the new larger size nipple for the gun at NAPA and of the three or four guns that I have, they are all the same thread size for the nipple.
Did you order the filler from Sportsmans Guide, or somewhere else, just interested to know if they still have them. When I first posted that they were cheaper, a couple of people ordered and got a defective pump, but they were sent the correct one after a phone call.

I can't believe it's cheaper than before, Lincoln Guardian Bucket Pump, Tools, Lincoln at Sportsman's Guide if you've never used one, here's your chance to give it a try, I saw a 5 gal pail of grease at TSC for fifty some dollars.

I ordered one last year and just now found time to get a 5 gal. pail of grease. Put it together got the grease gun fitting on and pumped and pumped and pumped.................nothing. Thought it might be air locked so I took it out of the pail and filled the tube with grease (with my finger) and taped it on the bench to get the grease to the top of the pump. It even had grease coming out the filler tube with each tap so I knew it was full. Still no grease with the pump. Sportsman is sold out on clearance so I guess I will be sucking the grease out of the pail the old fashion way. So much for making it handy.
