Is this a recent, tight 410, or a 100 year old, loose, $7.98 behind the barn door special? :)

Bruce
It's a year old Yildiz .410. Turkish made, single shot. I've deprimed one, and reprimed with a CCI Large Pistol primer and will load and try after a bit. I'll post an update when I do. btw, filled shell with water and left sit for 2 days, and then dumped it out (very yellowish water), refilled and rinsed 3 or 5 times and then deprimed with case half full of clean fresh water.

So, here is the first semi-succesful attempt. Ad you can see, the case filled the chamber, but the neck blew out. Next attempt will be a milder charge and all. So, the problem was, that the rim thickness has preventing it from chamberring correctly. I filed the front side of the rim, and it worked. once I get some fire formed right, I'll post more pictures. uploadfromtaptalk1493596609432.jpguploadfromtaptalk1493596613018.jpguploadfromtaptalk1493596616368.jpg

It locked up fine, but I found this .33 British to .41 Shotshell Conversion | Welcome to SurplusFirearm.com and followed their instructions. Only thing I can think of is that it locked up, but wasn't fully closed enough for the firing pin? I probably won't have time to mess with it anymore for a couple of days, but I'll do 4 more with a slight down load of powder and bevel the front side of the rim as well. These, I might just leave the large rifle primers intact, since it doesn't seem there 'hardness' was the issue. Actually, I my bevel and then pop the primers with the gun, before loading new large pistol primers and mild powder loads.

Yup, if not fully in battery pins may not fly.

So, anyone else use Blazer Brass 9mm 115gr FMJ? Maybe I got a bad box, but it looked like the loaded ammo was tumbled in a gravel truck. Projectiles all looked beat up, brass was tarnished, and some projectiles didn't appear to be seated straight. It was cheap for brass cased, boxer primed, but it was rougher looking than Tula or Wolf steel cased.

Really would help if you posted some close up pics. Hard to comment as it is a relative thing. Here's a pic of the American Eagle that I have been shooting lately.

Pictures didn't really show anything well. I did pick up some PPU 9x19 115gr for $10.99/50 at Rural King in Gainesville today. Much better (imo) ammo for same price.

Got an email from MidwayUSA this morning, they've got Winchester M22 in stock, $59.95 per thousand. With shipping, it should still work out to less than .07 per round and it's pretty good 22LR.

Just in case anyone is needing any

So, what is everyone's thoughts on 6.5 Grendel? I ordered my AR, based on the price of Wolf ammo for it, and should have the upper tonight. Still have to get Mag or 2 and ammo. My plan is mostly Wolf 100 gr cheap ammo and maybe PPU or Hornaday on deer. Anyone have experience with the wolf steel 6.5? They also have wolf gold 6.5 for around $15/20
