I purchased some parts to make a right angle accessory coupler to go with my Lock-N-Lube grease gun coupler (the best greasing coupler to come along in the last 100 years). What this does is gives me access using a right angle coupler to those two pesky zerks on my Kioti tractor, the brake pedal shaft and the go pedals shaft. They are straight zerks, but where they are situated they should have been 90 degree zerks pointing outboard. Since Kioti uses some goofy British Straight Pipe zerks on their loaders and backhoes, I did not know for sure what the main chassis zerks would be so I just made up this little coupler instead of trying to replace them.

I took a lincoln Model 5883 ninety degree coupler and screwed a 1/8 NPT standard zerk into the rear end of it. Now anytime I cant get the larger Lock-N-Lube coupler easily on a zerk, I have this little jewel to snap on to the end of it to reach those unhandy zerks.:)

I already have the Lincoln 90deg adapter, adding a zerk to it so I don't have to change fittings on my gun just for those 2 zerks is a great idea... thanks.

I have a nice older grease gun adapter kit that includes all sorts of adapters for hard to reach grease fittings and a couple of needles to inject grease into bearings. It also has a couple of tools to remove damaged zerks. I rarely use it but when I need it the set is worth it's weight in gold. I think both Lincoln and Legacy make set.

Reviving this thread for those who might find it of use. I'm going to do this trick 90 degree and zerk fitting too, and add it to my Lock-N-Lube standard length adapter.
BTW, I just found out L-N-Lube makes a longer reach EX model for reaching deep recessed zerks on PTO shaft bearings and other hard to reach places, AND they have a rebuild the jaws and seal kit available too.

And a picture showing both standard and EX:

Thanks to you and k0ua, I just ordered DeWalt 20V grease gun and the standard LNL. Now to figure out where all my zerks are located.

James - Do you use the same brand/type grease on your DK or do you use whatever you can find at the time, etc? I'm not a grease expert....

And yes... All that to say, what grease do you use?

I have the the short Lock&Lube and the long-ish one to, but at times or everytime that long-ish Lock&Lube is not long enough. I have two fittings, one I get under the tractor and the other one between the skid plate and tractor, I now need a 12" long L&L or something 12" long for those two grease fittings on my brake pedal. Then I also need something for a 45° angle for the one on my clutch pedal, these 3 fittings take longer to grease than all the other fittings on the tractor. What's needed is a zerk grease fitting kit for hard to grease places for $19.99.

A guy who does forestry mods on tractors here in my town has a solution for hard-to-reach grease zerks (since his mods sometimes create a problem with zerks): he mounts the zerks remotely. He removes the zerk and connects metal tubing where the zerk was, routes the tubing out to where it's easy to reach, and puts a zerk on the end of that. I've not looked closely to see what fittings he uses.

I have been using the red grease at Wal-Mart. I like it because it is not so nasty as the black grease that contains Moly. Yeah Moly is good, but man don't ever get any on your clothes. I grease often, and sooner or later you are going to get some grease on your clothes.

we use the black grease at work and I can't even walk past a tube with it getting on me. we also use the red high temp grease I like it for just about everything.
