his latest video on digging a trench in rock behind a home is pretty interesting.
I was sure that jungle gym was a goner but they just dragged the truck up with the excavator like that was normal.
Watching this in 4k makes it even nicer, the little puffs of smoke that kick up when he drags the bucket over rock look like they are right in front of me, like I should smell
that rocky earth smell.

guess he had to get back to work and pay for all this new equipment he is investing in.
Kind of fun living vicariously through his operating this equipment.

Not sure how true the amounts "youtubers" actually make... but I'm guessing he doesn't need to work EXCEPT for content!!

I really wasn't sure about how he dug out that rock ditch. Not trying to second guess him but would have been nice to be able to grow some grass on the area after he was done. Line it back with the "top soil" that was removed... Guess it would have just washed away.

FF to the 9:04 mark. Is he not in danger of bending a dump cylinder? He does this quite often and I learned on here it's a bad technique to use.

I was watching this video and thought geez that's everything we are NOT supposed to be doing with a FEL.
But...maybe that track loader and its booms are built for it, never used one, no knowledge.
But I can see why he breaks things...
Bottom line is when he was done, it looked nice.

If he does bend the cylinders that would be his next video..repairing

I watched that video, and did not think Andrew was particularly abusing the Takeuchi.
CTL's are built much tougher than tractor loaders.

On a tractor yes. A CTL will survive doing that.

strong arms on those CTL's...and very good forward vision
versus trying to see leading edge of FEL
I bet that job would have taken a lot longer with a tractor, but
shows there are often many ways to skin the cat.
I grew up maintaining a 1/3 mile gravel farm driveway on a hill also.
All done by hand and a snow plow, father never knew what a three point hitch was, just
thought tractor was for mowing fields. When I think how much easier and better it would be using
today's good tractors and implements, I almost want to take one back in a time machine and do that lane all over again.
In my suspension air conditioned seat... ;)

I forget the name he gives them but the mini lateral ditches across the road
sure do help. Though they get deeper with time and wear.
Like a big speed bump in the supermarket parking lot...

you know it's only a matter of time before he shows up with an old motorgrader.
look what I found today...

Plus it looked like pretty soft material; he wasn't digging in virgin dirt.
