Hard time believing that bike could continue putting out full power in that heavy spray.
If he had to slow down for anything would need an inflatable bouy.

My guess is you won't see this catching on,,,,,,,, Pretty impressive though. Early in the vid shows the 'skis' under the bike that keep it above water.

Back in the day, thats what my riding buddy would say, as i kicked his ***** on thru the gears, then on the straight away, i'd hear the 4 stroke coming closer and closer, then pass me by. :) good times!

I rode a KX125 for years(started on big bikes at 13 had to start it leaned against tree)then bought new KTM125sx I could keep up with all my buddies on there 250s but then I rode the Yamaha 426 and was hooked to 4strokes,cause didn't have to stay in the powerband. They was harder to kick start thou, anyways started on a Yamaha 50 at 5 and quit riding early 20s but we stayed on are land or went to the tracks, never got anywhere not suppose to be. Broke few things along the way, bruised tailbone, mostly the bikes took the worst of it,even bent set of ProTapers trying to triple with the 250s out of a corner, just didn't have it on the 125,lol.

For those of us that live in CT finding a place to ride is always a challenge. Dirt Bikes and ATVs are not allowed anywhere on State Property so we need to find Private Property. The State does require an Off Road Registration for your dirt bike. I don't see how riding the power lines or old logging roads hurts anyone. As long as you are not damaging private property..

Power lines and logging roads ARE private property.

Much of this thread has been devoted to the fact that the dirt bikes, ATV's, UTV's, 4x4's, Hummers etc. damage private property with repeated usage.
Most of my logging roads and ROW would easily stand one or two trips a year when conditions are fairly dry. But people get their dirt bikes and ATV's and groups tackle the steepest slopes, destroy all vegetation, and it erodes quickly. Now instead of being able to drive MY 4 wheel drive recreational vehicle (my Kubota B7610 or my Kubota m4700) the logging roads are impassable due to deep gullies.

In CT too many people think State Property is for their own exclusive enjoyment. They do not like to share.

I used to ride in State Property leased to a local corn farmer. If you stayed out of his fields he would leave you alone. He was known to keep a shotgun loaded with rock salt. At 40 yards it wouldn't kill you but could hurt like ****. This was back in the 80s before everyone got so litigious. If you complained to the cops the would give you a ticket for trespassing and impound your bike.

The power lines nearby which have been gated for quite a number of years are now 100% impassable even to emergency vehicles because absolutely nothing has been there for the duration of the closing.

Just went back and read the original post. It's unclear from the two articles if the bikers were trespassing or not. The article did state he was "riding his dirt bike on a trail near the Jones Creek off-road-vehicle area in the Yacolt Burn State Forest." Just curious, was he trespassing or not?

From what I can find, the private property is between state forest with trails and the road. People are crossing for access, and playing on the way. I don't know about any easements or other access agreements, or how it may be posted or blocked.

See the Google photo on post 58. The colored line is the private property line, with road on east and north, forest on west, powerline crossing east to west. You can see the damage being done to the land.

As any new development comes up in the local news, I will link to it.
