Ya'll are getting off topic. This thread has moved on to discussing the merits of the vanilla Wendy's frosty and also the proper amount of water to have on a Slip 'N Slide.

Sorry to inform you...it's not BS...it a cold hard fact (no pun intended)...
...Now the 90% figure may no longer be spot on...but there are a good number of glaciers all over the world that ARE GROWING...!

And before you go shooting another messenger because you don't like the message hear this from a USGA.GOV site:

FS-001-03--Hubbard Glacier, Alaska: Growing and Advancing in Spite of Global Climate Change and the 1986 and 2002 Russell Lake Outburst Floods

You may be on to something... here's 15 glaciers that grew in 2015/2016... that's more than I thought...

(Kindly ignore the 121 that shrank) ;)

From here... interesting reading.

OK, so lets just clean up and cease the pollution and call it a day and see what happens in the future. ;)
Here we go, and just forget the about the BS about GW. That's just clouding, so to speak, immediate problems that could really benefit from our attention.

You may be on to something... here's 15 glaciers that grew in 2015/2016... that's more than I thought...

(Kindly ignore the 121 that shrank) ;) ...
I'm fairly sure you're misunderstanding the gist of my argument...I have never contested the climate changing or the thawing...the point is the "change" in not necessarily universal...What I question is how can "some" glaciers be growing while others are melting?...if the zealots were right the eastern seaboard should be under water by now...

...Natures way is a one of resilience...

Deserts have not always been deserts...when ice masses recede so do deserts (they becomes fertile)

I've never said we should not be spending money to clean up all forms of pollution and improve emissions etc...perfect filtering technology etc...I just think there should be more research done to show that there is natural activity that is cyclical in nature that contributes to climate changes and not hide the data...anything that does not mesh with the current AGW agenda is suppressed and kept out of sight. IMO Deforestation of rain forests is a major issue...

I understand it's a big stretch to compare physical laws to climate and to a lessor degree weather but even in nature it seems for every action there is a reaction...

BTW, FWIW... The recent freak cold air mass that set all kinds of records...had nothing to do with climate change...it was called a natural phenomenon...US cold snap was a freak of nature, quick analysis finds

Google is no longer my friend. It's funny how I used to be able to find things on Google, but now they no longer show up. Two things that I was trying to find that I remember being big news when it came out where about glaciers in Greenland and India. Both where being used as examples of global warming and how they where melting so quickly that the risk of the oceans rising was much worse then predicted. Lots of data used from years of study to support this, and then it came out that they where falsifying their data.

Hopefully some of you on here remember this to, and you will have better luck finding the links to when it was in the news.

While I don't know if glaciers are increasing or decreasing, I do know that some of the data used on this wasn't accurate. Why lie about it if it's really happening?

If you have to lie to support a position, why trust what they are saying?

If I hear on the news that it's raining outside, I will look out the window to see if it's really raining outside because I don't trust anything on the news. If a politician says something, I expect the opposite to be true until it's proven that it wasn't a lie.

The biggest thing that I get out of these threads is learning how many people blindly believe what they are told and accept it as fact.

Really?
Well, questioning the (so called) experts... (to paraphrase Eddie)... sure beats "blindly believing what is being pontificated and automatically accepting it as fact"
