another Kubota UDT vs TSC premium hydro fluid?

If any of you have steering or lift problems in hot weather spend some time reading the post I posted above.

A while back I recieved emails from two other B series tractor owners that had the same problems I had and thier problems went away when they switched to a full Synthetic Fluid.

Hi hwew, I’m one of those that had steering problems at high temps and had corresponded with you. We were pretty much at the end of our mowing season at that time so I never made the fluid change. We’re coming up on the new season in a month or so, so no doubt I’ll be looking for solutions once I get to the lack of power steering problem again. Will let you know what happens if/when I try changing fluids. Right now we are in a drought and the “grass” crunches. Actually had what looked like a tumble weed blow through my garage a few days ago.

Chevron Synthetic All Weather THF is the only Hydro fluid that has a Super UDT spec. and it is good stuff. It fixed my steering ......

......Anyone that has a heat related problem with hydro fluid I would recommend trying Chevron Synthetic All Weather THF.

I have a B2710 and after mowing for an hour or so the steering gets a little jerky. I am very interested the trying the Chevron Synthetic All Weather THF.
Anyone know how much does it cost?

The Chevron Synthetic Hydro fluid is aprox. $100.00 for 5 gallons.

I used the tractor mowing yesterday and today in record temp. In the 90's.
I mowed a yard with steep hills for 2 hours in high range with the B7500 and the steering and lift worked great. No loss what so ever!

If you tractorbynet members cannot purchase 5 gallon buckets from your dealer please let me know. I can call the rep. that helped me and see if he can help us out. It might have to be trucked in from a place that has the stuff but it is well worth the wait.

In places like the south you can run Amsoil also. But in colder places I recommend Chevron.

I'm closing in on my 300 hr and I'll be sticking with SUDT. Fortunately I haven't encountered any performance issues like has been posted here so I have no reason to change.

Theres several entries in both my owners manual and BX23 WSM that specifically spec out SUDT for the BX23 under all operating conditions. Some may say this is just Kubota wanting to make more money, I don't know about that, but conversely I read into it that Kubota is specing out a multi-viscosity hydraulic oil for the BX23.
UDT = single weight viscosity non synthetic.
SUDT = multi weight viscosity non synthetic.
In any case, should I encounter similar hydraulic performance problems as been posted in this thread I would try a multi-viscosity synthetic such as Chevron's Synthetic Hydro fluid as I've seen dramatic improvements in some other high mileage vehicles I own when I went to a synthetic motor oil (Mobile 1).

Of course it's JMHO
