I just ordered Amsoil Synthetic Tractor Hydraulic/Transmission Fluid for $84.25 for 5 gallon bucket. Also ordered a couple cases of Synthetic 5w-40 Premium Diesel Oil, getting ready for my 50 hr service.

The first time I drove the tractor after changing the fluid and filters I noticed the transmission (GST) shifts were much harsher. Also when shifting from forward to reverse the engagement was much harsher too. I drained the fluid out at 200 hours and replaced it with SUDT with new filters. My shifts went back to normal. No harsh engagement. Now was it the fluid, I believe so. The proof is in the shifting as they say.
SUDT is the primary fluid to use....UDT is an acceptable fluid to use.dannydan3 said:OK, I've seen this alot let me get it straight - SUDT is better that UDT in that it performs better in cold weather.
I am confused as the manual for my bx2200 lists SUDT as the fluid to use, but right under the fluids chart is a line that has "SUDT----UDT", so I am inclined to think that it does not make a difference.
Anyone know what the heck this "SUDT------UDT" line would mean?
