I getting ready to purchase a 3 point hitch winch (Norse 450) for my tractor (Kubota Gr L 6060 cab). Having no experience with a winch before I was wondering if my I match quick attach and the top hydraulic link are ok. Will the winch put too much pull on either? Obviously I'm not a professional logger just a hobby. I am cutting roads thru the property and just trying to keep my tractor at a safer distance.

Closer the winch is to the tractor, the easier it is on your 3 points hydraulics, to lift and skid a load...

What's the i match rated for as far as load goes?
As far as moving the implement back farther, it looks like about 3" farther back VS mounted directly to the 3pt arms. I doubt your machine would notice the difference in lift capacity in all but the very heaviest of loads pushing the limits of it's 3pt system.

I am not sure you can use a quick hitch with a winch. The PTO arm from the winch probably won’t reach. Make sure you check.

Do you mean PTO "shaft"... I though they were always supplied long and cut to length per application...

Ya sorry. The one I looked at still wasn’t long enough, or the angle was a problem. Just double check.
Thanks for all the imput. I have asked a couple winch dealers and they all seam to be saying that nothing says you can't if it fits. I was hoping a few would chime in and say have done it with no issues. I have lifted a lot of heavy logs with my weight box attached, so the lifting and dragging doesn't bother me its just the winching part. Never having a winch I don't know how much pressure/torque the winching action puts on the three point hitch assembly.

Much of the torque is reduced to the 3 pth by lowering the winch so that the winch "blade" / plate digs into the ground. You get an idea of how much this helps if you ever set the blade on ice, or a tree root, or a hard surface and get the surprise of the tractor getting pulled backwards instead of the log forward. (BTW: Winching in 4WD instead of 2WD was once the answer to prevent tractor sliding when winching from pavement)
Many winches have a pulley mounted down low that you route the cable through to redirect the pulling forces from the top pulley and off of the top link. However, there are some advantages of pulling directly from the top pulley as it lifts the log more as it's sliding over roots etc..., but it does put greater stress on the top link than running the cable through lower pulley.
On pulls for big logs I run cable through lower pulley, but realistically I don't worry about breaking top link. I'm sure it's strong enough to lift the front of my tractor up before it ever broke.

I'm not familiar with that winch but I know my buddy has the quick hitch things on his Kubota and they are wide, not sure they would work on my winch.
There was a nearly new 450 Norse in Uncle Henry's last week, I posted the ad in "Tractors and Wood" in this forum. However unless the price ($500) was wrong or the condition listed was optimistic, most likely it's been sold.
I've looked on craigs list. If they look good they want almost new and if its under $2000 they are rusty, beat and not even worth going to look at for me. I am going to pick up a new Norse 450 on Wednesday. A little over $3000 and I can't imagine I will ever wear it out. From what I've seen for used, it will always be worth $2000 if I ever want to sell it.

This is the same scenario I have encountered in my search for a winch.
I know what you mean, I've bought, used and sold a Fransgard and a Farmi before I broke down and bought a new Uniforest. The one I mentioned though was less than a year old; and for $500 either it was a misprint or he just wanted to get rid of it .
