First time Yanmar owner here. Just picked up a small I believe 17hp 4wd model. It has a Forte badge on grill (or what is left of it). Looking for help with ID. Pics included: IMG_8911.JPGIMG_8904.jpgIMG_8912.JPGIMG_8906.JPGIMG_8914.JPGIMG_8908.JPG
Not sure why pics are rotated?

its an F series that's all i can tell but the HP would give a very good clue. If its numbered similar to the YM series it may be something more along the line of a F14. They are labeled with the PTO HP unless that 17 is the PTO or they number F series from the engine HP like American tractors and American versions of the YM.

Ok interesting. I will contact Fredricks and see if they can help. I need a few parts so I need to get with them anyway.
Thanks for the input.

In my experience Hoye has better mailorder service from the customer's perspective. I suspect some of what they sell is sourced from Fredricks. I know my ROPS was.

I believe Fredricks has some parts made and Hoye has some parts made.
I have ordered from both and have gotten good service from both.

I remember also seeing a Super Forte. I couldn't tell you what the differences are though.

Hey Kdogg, my son just moved to Jonesboro from Al back in June. He really likes it there

10-4 I will check Hoye also once identified.
kenmac-What brought your son to Jonesboro? It is a decent big small town. And the University is helping grow the area. Wettest dry county around.

He is has a 2 yr ? residency at a hospital there (St. Bernards).
He has complained once,or twice about it being dry there LOL.
They do like it though.

I was really impressed with all the Big agriculture in Arkansas. I had no idea !

Ok so both Fredericks and Hoye believe it to be an F17D. Good call careyo63. Unfortunately, no one has a grill assembly for it of course. So I shall attempt a fabrication. My welding skills are very limited but I will make a run at it just for good measure.

kenmac-Yeah this is a heavy agriculture area. The Mississippi delta has great soil. Soybeans, cotton, rice and corn all popular in our area. Oh and duck hunting-this area is one of the duck hunting meccas.
