growing up a few of my friends moms baked bread, mine did not.
seems the bread makers had lots of kids.
at about 14-15 years old we would go to my buddies house if his mom as baking bread. his mom would throw a loaf of fresh hot bread at us just to watch the commotion, fighting, cussing and chaos. a feeding frenzy! punches were thrown!
i also remember, if she heard you swear she would grab you by the shoulder or neck or something, using just 2 fingers. she was maybe 110 pounds and could bring a linebacker down to his knees with one pinch.
her arms were like steel cable, you sure don't see that much anymore.
