Any 7500 owners wish they had 2200 instead?

Nope. I just wish I was rich and had two tractors. One exclusively for mowing the other for playing, er tractoring.

The 2200 is a very nice machine. However, my 7500 works for me. Everybody has different needs so you're going to get many different answers. If I had a wish, I wish I would have moved up to the 2900.

rww_94,

The 7500 is a nice tractor. We tried it out and it wasn't a good fit for our property. The BX does mow better but there is nothing wrong with the 7500 mower. The BX won out because it felt more stable on the hills, the shorter ROPS is much better in the orchard and nursery, and the 7500 MMM wheels would drop in the badger holes around the place.

I really wanted the 7500 but the BX was a better fit (I hate to admit /forums/images/graemlins/mad.gif). If you have the room go for the 7500, great tractor, if you have more room go for the 7800 /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif.

And be sure to get the FEL,
Michael

I looked at both tractors and was seriously considering a 2200, But I felt the 7500 would do more, faster. Don't regret the 7500 at all.

I can't answer that question today but it is right on point with what I just went through in deciding what model. I wanted to make a BX22 fit but went with the B7500 with a BH, it is being delivered this Tuesday. The way I feel today is that I could have gone with either machine and would have probably been happy with either.
I will never know if one or the other was better because I am just happy I have a new tractor.

Counting the days down to delivery day!!!!

Hey Pondkeeper, what setup did you get. I just got a B7500 HST with a FEL and a Woods 7500 with subframe. Haven't got to use it yet because of the wet weather.

secretec,

You have a Woods 7500 on a Kubota B7500? I thought the largest recommended hoe for the B7500 is the B6500. I believe that is what I was told back in 2000 when I bought my B2910 and Woods 7500. At the time, I think I was told that there wasn't a subframe available for the B7500/Woods 7500 combination.

Sure do have that setup B7500 HST with a FEL and Woods 7500 Hoe (12" bucket) with subframe mount. It really seems to work quit well together.

I got the 6500 and passed on the sub frame mount. I will trailer between my homes and the extra length and ground clearance issues made me go with the Kubota mounting. I also don't have any major projects for the BH, mostly light duty shallow digging. If I'm wrong, I will switch to the sub-frame later.

Secretec,

Very interesting. Is that a fairly new rig? Maybe Woods has since come out with the subframe.

Just out of curiousity, what size hoe does Kubota recommend in the "implements" section of your owners manual. For my B2910, they specify up to 7 1/2', but mention that a subframe is required. Do they say the same in the B7500 owners manual? I believe Kubota only recommends the 4672 hoe, not the 4690, for the smaller B series, but those are 3 pt. mount, not subframe.
