Wait until it hybridizes with the stuff coming out of CO, WA and AK. Might take awhile for the AK stuff to get down here.
Most of the stuff that grows wild in the midwest is from hemp farms planted commercially to make rope and canvas for the wars. Its different in appearance from classic marijuana and was bread specifically for hemp fibers, not drug effects.
Indica vs. Sativa: Understanding The Differences
Some of it has higher THC than others. The stuff that grows wild around my home county, when growing along farm ditches, under irrigation and fertilizer, has quit a few buds, sticky with resin and is quite high in THC content. If you ran through a field of the stuff, you'd come out all covered in the resin. People that smoke it will tell you its a harsh smoke, but 9 out of 10 times that's because they rush to dry it and leave a lot of "green" in it, which is irritating. While it is no where near as high quality as cultivated marijuana, it is still quite potent if you get it from the right ditch at the right time and cure it properly.... so they tell me.
