Wait until it hybridizes with the stuff coming out of CO, WA and AK. Might take awhile for the AK stuff to get down here.

Most of the stuff that grows wild in the midwest is from hemp farms planted commercially to make rope and canvas for the wars. Its different in appearance from classic marijuana and was bread specifically for hemp fibers, not drug effects.
Indica vs. Sativa: Understanding The Differences
Some of it has higher THC than others. The stuff that grows wild around my home county, when growing along farm ditches, under irrigation and fertilizer, has quit a few buds, sticky with resin and is quite high in THC content. If you ran through a field of the stuff, you'd come out all covered in the resin. People that smoke it will tell you its a harsh smoke, but 9 out of 10 times that's because they rush to dry it and leave a lot of "green" in it, which is irritating. While it is no where near as high quality as cultivated marijuana, it is still quite potent if you get it from the right ditch at the right time and cure it properly.... so they tell me. (clean and sober since 1985) ;)

California?

Steve

California already legalized it and has been a huge problem. Lots of shootings. If your state does not have it vote against it if it ever comes up. You just wouldn't believe the crime rate here. All of our jails and prisons are FULL. And because of that grand theft auto thieves are released from jail after a couple of hours. They don't even have to post bail because there is no place to put them. The thieves in our are so brazen that they will stare into a surveillance camera because if caught, they know they will be released. Of BTW, we are also the meth capital of the US.

And if a handful of HIGH THC seed happened to fall in the ditch amongst the so-so stuff, who could tell? Seems like the perfect camouflage for growing small amounts. Don't hide the pot plants in the corn, hide the pot plants in the pot plants.

You're not even in the top 5 (like its something for us in Indiana to be proud of)...

For one, the leaves look different. The leaves are very long and skinny. Easy to tell. Also, the undersides of the leaves reflect silver at night. Easy to spot from the road with a spot light. Also, its surprisingly easy to spot this stuff from the air. And anything that is a different shade of green sticks out like a sore thumb. I used to work at the airport. The police often fly helicopters out over the county along the ditches looking for non-ditch weed. I think the money here is on meth production and local outdoor pot growing has gone out of style, so to speak. Meth is easier, faster, and you don't have to wait until the end of summer to get it. Sad, but true. My daughter had a track coach that was a state trooper on the meth task force. I recall him RARELY getting to watch an entire track meet. He was getting called away for meth duty a couple times a day. :(

I don't think that's possible. At least from Colorado. The growers there do not have any seeds in their crop. You ain't gonna grow your own from their product.

Please forgive me if this seems offensive, that is not my intention. I don't think California's problem is legalized MJ. It's much deeper rooted than that. And has been heading in that direction for at least 40 years. Must be the saltwater mist in the air. :confused3:

See my previous post. You won't buy any seeds from a legal dealer.

Think about it. Wouldn't that be silly for them to sell seeds??

Yeah, they're cloning it and propagating through cuttings, aren't they? No seeds.
