Yes you can try to reset the page count, that might work. Fusers also work by temperature. The fuser is what burns that black metallic carbon on the paper. Sometimes the fuser doesn't get hot enough so you get replace the fuser warning. Some printers you can cheat and set the temperature lower and the warning will not go off for a long time but you can get some black dusty sheets. When you handle the fuser bulb, make sure you don't touch it with bare hands just like a auto head light it will shorten the life of it. The same with the cartridge, don't touch the 'ink' area. It is a biodegradable organic material and will break down with time and light as well.
