Scotty, I think you are much closer than I am on my Ford Jubilee. I haven't even started tearing it down yet. I did put gas into it and start it up last year around Christmas time. It fired right up and ran for 10 minutes.

Maybe later this year I'll be able to get started. You will soon have two nice classic restorations in your garage. I'm envious.

Mornin Guys,
Thanks for the compliments ! I really enjoy working on it when I have an oppurtunity ! Its just that I havent had as many oppurtunities as I would have liked. This year has been tough because Kathleen and I threw a family reunion for her family and that took the best part of the spring and summer to do all the stuff around the house that needed to be done

Mark ; your still usin the old Massey to mow with so maybe its not ready to be done yet

CDsdad ; You could do it, you just have to be committed to gettin it done try it you might surprise yourself

Mike ; I honestly dont know how much time, Im guessing if I strung all the time together maybe 3 months partime

I felt the biggest job was the disassembly and cleaning and evaluating what needed to be replaced ! Did you ever finish the lathe or did I miss that ?

Jim ; Youll get to the Jubilee, in the mean time its a fine Christmas decoration with all those lights

Scotty with all the other projects that I have going right now I figured the lathe would make a great winter project.

Sorry for jumpimg over your questions. I am posting a pic of the tractor when I started the project.

Im not sure how much I will use it, since I use my 42 A quite a bit.
I have done all the painting so far.

Thanx! What sort fo gun are you using to apply the paint? Whats your spray booth look like? Eventually I was thinking about a restoration and most of the books Ive seen gloss right over paint.

I have a spray booth at my place of employment, I will post a pic when I can !

I use a Porter & Cable HVLP gun. Reasonably priced and good results.

I will post a pic of the sheetmetal when done.

Great looking tractor Scotty, hat's off to you for saving a piece of history. Someday, maybe, if time allows, I'd like to take on some sort of restoration project. When did you start?
