Great looking tractor Scotty, hat's off to you for saving a piece of history. Someday, maybe, if time allows, I'd like to take on some sort of restoration project. When did you start?

Mornin Rob,
Good to hear from you!!! Looking at the date on the tow job, it was back in April if 2003, didnt think it was that long ago  I really only have a few months work into it, it basically sat in the garage forever :( But we are making some progress now :) Of course its been mid 90's the last few days and I just cant get motivated in those temps

Last big hurtle is a new grill assembly and paint the sheet metal and that should be it. I also have a full set of cultivators for this tractor I may redo at some point in time :) Thats where this tractor really shined IMHO:)

Mornin Guys,
OK, heres the latest ! The hydraulics touch control unit is pretty much all together. One of the lift arms was ruined with some barn yard welding and I had to get another one  We are getting close on this end of the project :)

Then I started working on the drawbar and realized I needed to repair a torchcut hole on one side of the drawbar. Bored the hole ot and made a 1 1/4" plug and welded that in position along with the 11/16" hole  Another barnyard snafu :)

Then I started to install the starter after cleaning and painting, nice easy job right??? Nope, the threads are stripped  Barnyard muscle mechanic :) Well had to redrill holes and insert 7/16" helicoils, moving right along here :)
Thats the latest, oh and I might have a line on a grill, well see :)

Mornin Guys,
A little update !!! :)

The first photo is a pic of the magneto and hydraulic lines just installed along with the hydraulic pump.

The second photo is a pic of the clutch and brake petal assembly. The right brake which is obviously the left pedal in the pic, I had to rebore the support and install a new bushing on that support because that brake pedal just wobbled all over the place from all those right hand turns in the field :) This trade does have a few benefits :)

The third pic is just a left side shot. You will notice that the fan assembly is just laying on the front bolster. That is because I had the radiator on and proceeded to fill the cooling system with antifreeze only to discover that I had a slight weep from the top inlet on the block  Darn, drain the entire system, remove radiator, order new gasket and issue a few choice words when the wife is not in ear shot :)

I bought a repro grill assembly $$$, dont ask !!! I installed it last night and its a snug fit on the radiator, just to see how it fits before I paint all the sheet metal ! I will post that pic later, still havent figured out why its primen black  Anyway thats it for now.

Looking great Scotty! Can't wait to see the finished rig. It must feel pretty good to be this far along with the end in sight, eh?

Hi Rob,
Thanks, it is starting to look like a tractor again :) The problem is that the more I look around the tractor for loose ends the more I find

Lets see, new battery needed, and cables, new plug wires, fill final drives with gear lube along with transmission and belt pulley attachment, wire entire tractor, need repro headlights and rear light, hydraulic control rods to be hooked up,sand prime and spray all sheet metal, choke rod etc..... on and on:)

Unfortunately this weekend is my youngest sons 23rd birthday party on sunday so wont be doin much this weekend :(

It will get done eventually, I think patience is the key here :) Heck, Ive waited this long :)
