I have a New Holland TC40da & there are occasional times when I've needed to use the dif lock but my calf doesn't want to stretch far enough to press it down all the way. Does/has anyone made a lever of some sort that would flip down engaging the dif lock?

I've always considered mine to be a little out of the way, but not a big issue once I became used to it. I guess I could suggest you wear western style cowboy boots with riding heels (about 2" thick), but those are not really good tractor boots. It should be a simple job to weld on an extension so you don't have to put your left heel back so far. Of course, if you want to get really radical, you could put a piece of 1" tube stock hinged on the front so it sits on top of the lever. That way you have to push down harder, but your heel won't have to be so far back. I think the return on the difflock is strong enough to lift one end of of the square tubing if the front is hinged. It would require drilling through your rubber floor mat though. /forums/images/graemlins/smirk.gif

Unless this is truley a reach problem my experience has been that these return springs were speced way to heavy. At least for my Kubota anyways. I bought a much lighter spring for my 4330. A **** body builder would have a hard time keeping the lever down on that thing. It functions so much easier now it is a pleasure to use and the spring is still strong enough to return lever with no problem. Just because manufacturers keep on doing things with specs the same way year after year doesn't necesarily mean that they are always the best way. By the way, I got the spring from lowes. If you buy form lowes or any other store with a good return policy you can always take back the ones that were not suitable. If your tractor is anything close to mine you should be able to go very light on the spring and still have it return correctly. Hope this helps.
