</font><font color="blue" class="small">( I have a New Holland TC40da & there are occasional times when I've needed to use the dif lock but my calf doesn't want to stretch far enough to press it down all the way. Does/has anyone made a lever of some sort that would flip down engaging the dif lock? )</font>
I've always considered mine to be a little out of the way, but not a big issue once I became used to it. I guess I could suggest you wear western style cowboy boots with riding heels (about 2" thick), but those are not really good tractor boots. It should be a simple job to weld on an extension so you don't have to put your left heel back so far. Of course, if you want to get really radical, you could put a piece of 1" tube stock hinged on the front so it sits on top of the lever. That way you have to push down harder, but your heel won't have to be so far back. I think the return on the difflock is strong enough to lift one end of of the square tubing if the front is hinged. It would require drilling through your rubber floor mat though. /forums/images/graemlins/smirk.gif
